Dear Residents of Fort Richmond/University Heights Neighbourhood Association,

I hope that you all are finding lots of things to get off your to-do list as you stay at home and make every
effort to stay healthy. I know these are difficult times. I would like to point out the website that has
been set up by the provincial government to assist you if you are in need of volunteer help in any way
helpnextdoormb.ca. I encourage you to reach out to this service or a neighbour if you need
anything.

The Association had planned its Annual General Meeting for May 13, 2020. This, however, has been
postponed and is tentatively being planned for September 2020. Our spring mail drop to keep residents
informed about our website neighbourhoodassociation.ca bylaw enforcement and other
community concerns will also be postponed until the fall. Our city councillors, Markus Chambers and
Janice Lukes are still hard at work on our behalf, working from home and online. I encourage you to
register and read their newsletters at markuschambers.ca/contact or janicelukes.ca.

When things get back to normal the Neighbourhood Association will continue to raise issues of safety
and liveability in our neighbourhood. We are seeking individuals to volunteer for various Board
positions and as street captains to deliver our postcards. If you are interested or would like more
information please contact us at info@neighbourhoodassociation.ca. We have lots of positions to be
filled.

We have been very blessed to have had great March weather not so fine in early April but are able to
get out, walk and greet our neighbours from across the street. Please stay well. We at the
Neighbourhood Association wish you well. Take care.
