PROVINCIAL EDUCATION PROPERTY TAX CREDIT

The Provincial Education Property Tax Credit is provided by the Province of Manitoba to help cover the school taxes.

You can only claim an education property tax credit on one principal residence at a time.  You cannot claim the Education Property Tax Credit on a secondary residence, such as a rental property which you own.

The City of Winnipeg Taxation Department will be investigating assumed rental properties to ensure only one tax credit is being received when multiple properties are owned.
